g00ns.net - hacked again

ok so I'm being hacked by a group of individuals from g00ns.net

has anybody had this probelm before? Nuke sentinel was running but it was still possible for them to destroy the news on my front page, change the password for my admin, turn off all the blocks on my site ...

help or suggestions please?

I suggest you lock down your server until you can secure it. Do not let them use your system to attack other sites, just take it down.

Yeah sorry - got worked up about what was happening and forgot to post details Embarassed

So - appears my admin password had been changed but not username
Forums erased / changed
all blocks turned off
site message changed
news items on centre block in home all changed

I restored the site from backups - last months news / additions, then same hack occured again.

So I had originally had nuke 7.7 changed to 7.9 and lastley to 8.0
I did have the site patched but now thinking about it I may not have applied the patch series to 8.0

And completley uncertain about my forums - I not however have any attachements etc.

I'm just about to update the 8.0 etc

I believe if you do a search of these forums, you will find posts recommending not using Nuke versions above 7.6 even with Sentinel installed due to numerous holes even after patching that are in newer versions. You may want to take a serious look at RN76 distro pack 2.02.02.

Yeh thats what I did. Same hacker, same method..RN76 saw them 'run' away.
Of course the same hack will happen again, they are playing with you. Do not agree to anything they offer you. LOCK HER DOWN. Get yourself some lovely 76 then open up, that should stop them.
But seriously there is no point in restoring your files untill you have closed the hole that they fell through, its just a waste of time and effort on your part.

Finally made most of the chnages from Nuke 8.0 to RN76 although I still seem to have a few problems with things like my preference and new users forms not being able to write to my DB.

we where hacked by them 1 year ago, hate them, sad people (kids , and not all kids either ).

my main page went out of action 3 days ago and lots of code was left on it , how they (who ever) was trying to get in i surpose, my shout box in admin.php has gone but that as far as i can see is all they did rotffl , my database is intact. i have backups.
I was lucky it happened as sentinel files where not complete on server, but this late in the game i am waiting for 2.10 , only took me 2 minutes to upload new files to site including config(new pass) and no folders.

but thats thx to the guys here who put the effort in for us. so i am more than sure it will be worth the wait and a DONATION ..hint hint

Just a couple of links i found using google. There are many pages on these mindless idiots.

Recently i found on their site an audio file from someone in our clan, saying how they owned us. The guy identified himself as one of our members and was obviously from the United States, by his voice...
The funny part.......
The member he claimed to be is actually Danish, has trouble writing in English, yet alone speaking it properly.
