i used the content module to make a new module(rules and policies). after doing that i had no way of adding it to the menu, it wasnt in the module list in admin. so i found another program to do that for me. worked ok. so i thought but my non admin members couldnt see the file. i see it just fine and so do other admins. but reg members to my site and non register can not see it. i have activated it. and since its not in module list in admin i cant find where i grant permission for it.

can someone help me. Thanks.

If your new module is in the folder root/modules then it should show up in the Modules list on your Modules Administration page. Depending on your nuke version it may or may not show up in the Menu box until you first edit the values for your module in the Modules Administration, ie: change inactive to active, or change groups, or change nothing but just save it.

btw, what version of nuke?

Content you make is not a module. To get a link to your content page on your home page you can either use one of the content blocks, a custom block containing the link to your content, or something like the Somaire (sp?) custom menu block.

I'm confused, are you trying to add content to the Content Module? If so, just use the add page feature in the Content Module. Then activate a Content block, and your content will show up as a link in that block.

However, if you are trying to create a brand new module, then the Content Module has nothing to do with your task.

i enabled the content block and all that good stuff, then logged out of admin to see if it worked and no it didnt. still only people with admin perms can view the page. everyoen else gets a message that says module isnt active.

all i need to know now is how to make it so everyone can see it. the block is set up for all visitors.

The module may be active, but who do you have it active for? If you want ALL to see it, make sure the module is set "All Visitors" can view it...

Go into the Module administration part of the admin panel. Your Content module isn't active. You have to activate it, then ensure it is visible to all visitors.

Edit: I'm guessing you are confusing the block activation with the Content module activation.
