On Thursday 10th August I Guardian2003, was admitted to Hospital to undergo an emergency medical procedure.
The procedure was successful and I returned home late on Saturday after releasinging myself from their care.
There are two or three people that were relying on me for personal attention in fixing their issues which I am no longer in a position to do due to the medication I am receiving (morphine amongst other stuff which clouds my already befuddled brain).
I sincerely apologise to those individuals as well as the rest of the community here for my abscence - I will be returning but not for a few days as I am committed to bed rest for at least the next few weeks.
My wife will be getting my mails and reading them to me and I will ask her to rely to urgent matters.

"G", or is it now "Z" , just now saw this! I am very relieved to hear that you are alright and that you are now on the mend.
Don't worry about a thing here. We've got your back!

Guardian2003, We all miss you. Get well soon!
Illness comes at a bad time
Goal is back to your prime
Relax and get some rest
You return at your best
Think not of daily grind
Let your mind unwind
Thrust out unwanted strain
Allow pleasantry in the brain
You can read a book or two
Watch movies all the way through
Later about it you can tell
Just take care and get well |

Thank you all for your very kind words and thoughts. I cannot even begin to put into words how much your posts mean to me.
My estimated recovery should be about 2 weeks from now. I have set aside 30 minutes of each day to try and catch up emails and posts here but that is the maximum time I can stay in the sitting position (Doctors orders )
I will do my best to 'continue as normal' as quickly as I can.
I am taking the opportunity to read some very good books on PHP so my recovery time is not entirely wasted.
The pain has receeded to the extent that I can now easily control it with tablets, something I am very grateful for.
For those with strong stomachs and an enquiring mind, I had an anal ulcer for several days which immobilised me for two days (think of someone hacking away at your butt with a razor every time you try to move and your pretty close). It finally burst, taking a few minor blood vessels with it. After several hours of trying to staunch the bleeding I gave up and was admitted for an emergency procedure.
The 'cavity' that remains has to be re-packed daily (some magical stuff that soaks up nasty juices turning them into a gel).
I think thats enough graphical detail LOL
In order to 'help' the healing process I have to keep pressure off the wound, hence the reason I cannot be in a seated position for long. |
