I have set the configuration to allow uploaded avatars for users in my phpbb forum of my nuke 7.4 site, but the avatars aren't getting loaded (i tested it myself) and when you see the profile of the person, instead of the avatar there's just a white box with an "x". then through the CP i go and see and sure enough the jpg file isn't there. any ideas on what is wrong and how i can fix it so that my users can upload their own avatars? Thanks. |

Well the avatar function for members worked also with my 2.0.4 forums version so I believe its only the path or the settings which are wrong. The only bug within this function is sometimes for the guests avatars and stars.
But you said all is checked and correct and its no browser issue.
You know Right click on the red x shows the path of the avatar.
Maybe a forums upgrade is the solution. Also that version has many security holes. |

You ´ ll find BBtoNuke at or at in the download section. There are different versions for patched and non patched sites.
I did last year a mega upgrade and did´t loose any forums topics but if you have mods installed or changed files you need to merge these files with an editor.
The current forums version is 2.0.21
Did you ever get an error message by uploading an avatar ? Maybe try it with an gif. But in my opinion it´s not worth to make this working with this version because of the security issues and chmod 777 is a risk. |
