MySQL Database Connectivity Test Results
config.php file found!
I was unable to reach your MySQL server using the MySQL connection settings in your nuke config.php file. The exact error message that your MySQL server reported is Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061).

Any suggestions on what I should do?

Double check your connect info in config.php

An easy way to do this is open phpmyadmin......follow the login process and as you enter info into phpmyadmin there should be an entry in the config file. Follow this until you are at the database you wish to use. Just about each step as you go there will be an entry for the config file.

You have not entered the correct connection settings in your nuke config.php file.

Guardian2003,
You beat me to it.

David, It's there. It can just be fickle at times. A space here....A capitol there....You just have to look real close. If you can log into that database with PhPMyAdmin or Cpanel.....then the config will work. Send your info to Guardian and he will fix you up.

after flicking through a few forums and you admins moaning about hosts using old "My SQL", I updated "My SQL server" to ver 5, and PHP to ver 5.

Still got same issue. I checked passwords and stuff. I can use MySqlAdmin to connect to the database... I even "copy and pasted" the details from the config.php file, just to make sertain i got the spelling right... Still no joy.

If it helps, Im running :-

IIS
MySQL 5.0.18-win32
PHP 5.0.5

help?

PS im not installing bloomin apache server, I have too many clients on IIS to f@rt @rse about changing things.

Well.....Maybe you did not read enough.....Most folks don't support PhP 5.0 yet and it does cause some "Issues". I think 4.lastest would have been a better bet.

The link did not work. Post it up....we'll check it out...

Yep... I've heard PHP5 and mySQL5 is not too nuke friendly... not sure you can run it "out of the box" on this platform.

Try PHP4.4.1, mySQL 4.x (not sure of the latest 4.x build).

Strange, link should work.
Old version of PHP was 4.4.1 and I was running sql 4
also. web server is sitting right next to me, so FTPing itsnt an issue as the server is on the same network.

It is a path issue from what I see here......

(I take it you removed your real domain name, if not you need to fix the "your domain" part)

An error occurred while loading

It is looking for "www.yourdomain.com" not "localhost"

Some of the other folks here I am sure know more about it than me but I would look at my paths and make sure they are all set right.

Go look at your Config file......config.php in root. Make sure that everything is right to connect to the database. It seems to me that you are not connecting to the database.

txhellkat138, I just don't see how it can be anything other than installSQL.php file is not there or is somehow corrupt, especially since we can all get to setup.php just fine.

[edited by montego] you may want to check the extraction from the original distribution package... that could be another failure point for file corruption...

Montego is most likey right.

If the paths are correct in config...then something is missing or corrupt.

It was really early in the morning when I started on this one....(5:00am'ish)

You don't want to comment that out. That's the default behavior. Later on you should have another set of directives that allow access to your specific document root.

That appears to be a permissions error on your server. Either the permissions and/or the owner:group is not set correctly.

Wait a minute... take a look at the provided file name. Why is it not showing installSQL.php?
