Well, after so many requests and so many installs , I have gone ahead and put together a complete package of the most up to date versions of phpNuke v7.6, PatchLevel v3.1, PHPBB v2.0.18, and NukeSentinel(tm) v2.4.2, all as of 11/24/2005. It doesn't get any fresher than this .
This is what it is.
Could it be the foundation for something bigger (CodyG is salivating at this point )? Yes.
Is it? Not at the present.
"If you build it, they will come"
"Go the distance"
"Ease his pain"
We'll see. Anyway, Feedback is welcome and expected. I have run several test installs and not had any issues on my Windows test machine. I'd sure appreciate some people testing this ASAP and notifying me of issues, bugs, corrections, etc.
Be sure to read the README file in the root html folder and the INSTALLATION folder.

NukeSentinel(tm) is already completely installed, just not completely configured. Follow the installation instructions in the INSTALLATION/README file |

Right now i am running 7.9 patched with 2.0.18phpbb and sentinel 2.4.2 (sort of, not 100% working).
How hard is to downgrade (actually upgrade.. ) to your version?
Are the tables the same? I have a few users already, some posts in the forums.
Will a mysql dump work on the 7.6? I spent the last 3 days trying to make it work, blah, i am ready to give up. As far as a heard, 7.6 seems to be the most stable/secure version.
Of course, you released it 1 day after i did my install....muprhy never dies!! |

Hi Raven
So "What is RavenNuke76? As the subject asks!
You have tempted us by saying "And a few tweaks of my own thrown in." So come on mate reveal all.
Less of the cloak and dagger stuff eh
Regards
Martyn.
PS I have done something very similar but took phpbb to 2.0.17 because of various concerns I've read about in forums. |

I just installed and trashed the 7.8 version of the site I was workin on. Yours is running flawlessly for the most part only issues I'm having is slow load time. And when i say slow I mean instead of being 0.19 seconds its like 5 seconds which is really nothing but still was wondering what would cause it. |

Nothing in that code should/would cause that. It's just the released code already configured. Are you sure you're not having connection issues via your ISP and/or host? Try running a tracert to unsaneartist.com. I just did and your host appears to be having problems. |

Anything I have tweaked is fully documented. There are only a couple at present. |

I just tried that link, too, and it's real fast... unfortunately proxies aren't allowed so I got the Attention! page from NukeSentinel. Now, is that any way to treat a fellow Texan?! Thank God you don't use PCKiller lol But I really like the Raven76 distro and as soon as I read through this entire forum I'm gonna d/l it and put it on my site. |

The complete package of Nuke 7.6 is really a great idea !
It´s such an easy installation I never had before. I´have changed my site again it was first a Nuke-Platinum site, afterthat a Mambo site and now I´m sure I stay with Nuke 7.6.
Off course I like also my Nuke 6.5.
The only little problem I had was the path to .htaccess, because there was at the beginning a space and I always got the message file does not exist or chmod isn´t correct. However it works perfect now. Thanks a lot ! |

It was the easiest install I have done yet. Especially the Senteniel install and ip to country. Much nicer with the new installer. Thanks Raven...... |

Wow! I really appreciate the feedback. Susan, was that space thing a result of my packaging, instructions, or just an OOPS! |

Your instructions are clear and easy to understand "Find "htaccess Path:" and simply type .htaccess." I copied the path and couldn´t recognize the space. I tried chmod 666,777 and 702 of course with the same result. It was my fault.
I quess I need new eyeglasses. |

if im not mistaken, this is for clean installs.
but it seems as though it has everything you would need for an up to date secure 7.6 site.
i Dub it "Nuke in the box 7.6" |
