Hi,
I have recently downloaded the raven nuke files 2.04
I have also bought a hosting package from a company in the UK
I also have a new theme to upload the site.
I already have a phpnuke website but a friend of mine installed and configured all the files in the first place for that site.
I looked at the installation readme and fell off my chair !
Can anyone help me get this new site up and running !!????
Please :p |

I would suggest reading the wiki and if you have questions, we will be glad to answer them. |

So are you starting a new site, or converting your existing phpnuke website to RN? |

Is that a subject?
it seems you don't know how a forum works either
What about: Can someone explain how to install RavenNuke?
Message body:
i've read the manual but what does "database" mean?
What is a "control panel"?
My hosting company send me information how to login on their control panel (plesk, cpanel, ispCP, etc., etc.) but i have no idea how that works? |

Sorry for not reading the rules and the subject line.
Forums are not new to me bu this one is.
btw, thanks t your execellent wiki ref i have started the install myself but I have some unresolved issues.
The nameservers have not resolved yet to the hosting company for the yurl but that should happen today sometime.
Will llet you know what happens.
Also when I did try to upload the databases i.e. etc etc
It came up with the error
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/cheerle/public_html/config.php on line 82
I looked at line 82 and it includes the text 'cannot find rnconfig.php'
Is ths because the namesservers are not resolved yet ?
Or is this and error in the config.php setup ?
Thank you for your continued support and help. |

Take the offer from Nuken or edit your config.php because it will not work with this parse error. Alternative:Ssave your old config.php, upload the original and edit it again. If you change the nameserver its normally done within 24 hours.
Good luck ! |
