Hello. I placed a theme in my themes folder and I cannot select it from the user panel. It is in the drop down box in the admin section and I have selected it as the default theme for the site but it does not show. Does anyone have nay idea why? Thanks! |

Assuming that;
a) it isn't a cashing issue preventing you from seeing the theme immediately
b) the site preferences allow theme selection
c) the theme name doesn't have any spaces in the name
d) the themes.php is actually there
I have no idea without looking at the theme. |

Hello and thank you for the replies.
Guardian2003, a)I cleared cookies and it has been a few days, b)I chose it as default from admin, where else would theme selection be, I looked all over? c)no spaces in the name, d)theme.php is there
jestrella, nothing is happening with the other theme, fisubice continues to be used. site is vfwpost2876.com fisubice is the only other theme I have in use at my site all the others have been removed from the theme folder.
Thanks to both of you for the help |

Odd...
is your current theme a modded version of fisubice???
btw, the site you pointed at is currently usinga theme called Liberty, and it is missing the nukeNAV style-sheet. |

jestrella, ah interesting. When I logout the theme is there. If I log in the theme goes to fisubice and there is no option to choose a theme in Your Account. What could be the issue there? |

In admin control panel, select Edit Users. Click on Configuration and then Permissions. There you will see Allow User Theme Selection. Make sure it is set to yes. The theme appears to be missing the images for the header links. It is looking for themes/liberty/images/home.gif , themes/liberty/images/account.gif etc... |

blith, yes users can select themes and will only be visible to themselves when they're logged in. This can be achieved through the preferences icon on Your_Account. |

thanks jestrella, I knew about the theme selection but I was unaware of the admin option to allow users theme selection in the admin Edit Users configuration. Thanks again! |
