Hi - I have Nuke Platinum 7.6.b4, and my old version of Sentinel was functioning pretty well (2.4.x). Due to the amount of attacks on my site however, I decided to upgrade to the latest, and now it is not adding the blocked IPs to the database. Let me explain:
I have gotten over 30 emails since updating, and the only IP showing in the blocked IP range is the one I did manually, and is also reading that as the only shameful hacker. There should be at least 30 by now. Did I mess up something in the config, or is it not compatible with that build of Platinum? I tried asking for help at Platinum nuke and at Nukescripts. Please help!

I was going to tell you to turn database logging on but then realized that Nuke Platinum may have no such facility. It's possible that somewhere in the upgrades to Nuke Sentinel there was a database change that is causing MYSQL errors when you go to update the NS blocked_ip table. One question would be what process you used to upgrade your NS version. In Ravennuke we have a script that upgrades the Sentinel tables but if you are using Platinum you probably don't have access to that.
I'm assuming that in the blocker configuration part of NS you have the appropriate blockers turned on to ban the IP addresses of the hackers. ?
Man do I feel stupid now...under the individual blocker settings, they were either set to OFF or merely EMAIL ADMIN. But I wouldn't have figured that out w/o you helping me. Dang I feel like a noob right now.
