i dont really have an 'issue' but something i would like to enhance...
when viewing the download section on my site, everything runs together. not very user friendly. heres a link:

i was wonderin if anyone knew a way that i could make each download/file appear in a new "story_page.html" or "OpenTable" as defined by the theme in theme.php. if you know what i mean. that would make it much easier to tell where 1 file ends and the next one begins. i get a lot of users sayin they cant find where to click to download the file. any help would be great. even if i just knew where to insert a <hr> or something in the code to separate them that way would work for now.
thanks all

NSN GR Downloads might work better for you. I like the way it displays much better then the default downloads.

@jake. i totally didnt even think about that. i have it set so only registered users can access downloads.

thanks for the compliment evaders!

and thanks for the suggestion nuken. this is sooo much better. and it installed quick and flawlessly. only problem i have with it. is i set it so everyone can see the downloads, but it dont work. it still shows as restricted. but that is a distant issue.

thanks again for the suggestion. helped a lot.

autonami, you have module permissions and then within NSN Downloads there is a way to set permissions for each download. I think you might be missing the individual download permission setting. Just modify the download(s) to whatever permission you desire.

ok. so ive just decided to go with RN 2.4.

i copied my DB and Files from my public site and cloned it to my local site ( with NSN Gr installed ) then... i copied the files for 2.4 ( local site ) and ran the updates. forgive me for my noobness. but i guess all the 'default' download module files were put back and i just see the regular ol download module. and it loads. - didnt test the files but it functions - then i proceeded to copy the NSN Gr files to the site ( still local ) i go to "downloads.html". - blank page. so i go to the install for NSNgr and try to do first time install... all FAILED. then i did a uninstall. via the nsngd.php setup script. then i did a first time install. status = success. then, copy downloads to NSN gr tables - success. went to "downloads.html" still blank page.

have you guys updated your RN with NSN gr already installed? if so, what step did i miss here? and what can i do to fix this.

thanks for your time.

ps. i didnt really go to "downloads.html" of course. its replacing the module address i typed with downloads.html

That is if you are using shortlinks. If not, you would not need to use the shortlink file.

the reference to Downloads.html made me think you may have been because that is what shortlinks changes your downloads url to.

The only time I had a similar issue was when the files didn't upload correctly. I would suggest try to upload NSN GR downloads once more. Your database files should be fine if you got success.

yeah i dont get it. the database seems to be fine. and like i said, i can go to each individual files download page. but when i go to 'downloads' i get blank page. and i tried to upload the NSNGR files again. and no go.

im going to try to uninstall NSNGR place the default downloads. then upgrade. then install NSN GR after installing 2.4

At the top of the downloads index page find
Code:
if(!isset($op)) { $op = "index"; }

and change to
Code:

if(!isset($op) || empty($op)) { $op = "index"; }
