Wont allow me to add story text to an article - ravennuke

Hi sorry to be a pain again my site is coming along

however when i add an article i can put in a title and an image but they story text and extended story text will not allow me to enter anything - any help would be greatly appreciated

infact it won't allow me to add anything text details, like footer1 etc

Probably an installation issue or issues. Make sure you have completely FTP'd the files and that your MYSQL database installation ran completely. Provide us some more details, what version, when did you load it etc.

There is database logging available that will show you any MYSQL errors that are taking place. But then again, rereading ... you are not making it clear what the problem is. Can you enter say the story text and go to save and it gets lost or you can't enter it at all? If the latter then the problem is almost certainly an incomplete FTP process.

yeah its the latter, all the text fields from stories to footer1 have no area to enter text, its like the text field is missing - im on the latest version of ravennuke - if anyone knows the file that is associated with this then i can try to upload that one as reinstalling again will be a pain - thanks

There are many files involved and pinpointing one is difficult. You probably just need to rerun your FTP process and monitor it and make sure the directory structure is complete at the end. Did you install fresh or did you overwrite a previous installation?

ive jsut installed over the top but not overwriting just uploading any missing files and its worked - thanks for your help

cry getting this now when trying to create a new topic

Template->make_filename(): Error - file posting_attach_body.tpl does not exist

is this to do with the theme selected or forums in general again anyone know where the
file is located

You could find the file yourself in your distribution that you downloaded.

FTP clients and processes can be problematic. You can search on "ftp" here and find many suggestions. Your success can depend on a number of factors: the client you use, your network connection and the reliability of your hosting service among others. Until you get all your files uploaded in a directory structure that exactly matches what you downloaded from here we will not be able to help much.

think its becasue i donwload a phpbb mstrenches them and it doesnt come with some of the tpl files - got to do a conversion or something - if anyone has done this and has the files that would be awesome
