thread rating and post of the day?

It would be nice to have a mod that enable users to rate threads. Most sites that have this use the star system...but it doesnt really matter to me.

Also, would be nice to be able to let users nominate posts for a "post of the day" type of deal.

Was just wondering if there are any out there...I seem to be coming up empty in my searching.

phpbbhack.com has the mod for phpbb2 for this.
rating mod is so tiny mod that you may change little bit for bb2nuke.
However, in phpbb world, phpbb2 is not active anylonger (in fact, dead). So, they don't develop such modes for phpbb2 any longer.

anyways, the mod exists in outthere.
such ported mod is not so difficult that you may try.

This is the mod for phpBB2.
It is so odd to find special modification for RavenNuke(tm) because bb2nuke and its skeleton are same.

Anyways, the link is to get rate mod for phpBB2. Even though I know how to change it to work in BB2nuke 2.0.* versions (actually, I did it before but I kicked off), I don't work on phpBB2 any longer. It is because phpBB3 (phpBB3ToNuke) has it already.

Please some of great people at Raven's will help you you change this mod to make it run in BB2Nuke under RavenNuke(tm).

I didnt even know you could use phpBB3 in nuke. Then again I am using RN 2.20.xx

Id like to tackle the convert...but its been a long time since I done anything like that. I normally stick with mods that are already written to just edit the code.

Hopefully someone here will have already done it and update this thread.

If you have nobody to port the mod into phpnuke 7.6 after a while, then let me know.

Well I would definitely appreciate that. I have never modded a file that was soely for phpbb before. I have done plenty of mods that were created for Nuke...so I may wait and see if anyone here has time to do it.
