Persistent Warning in the server error log

Just checked the server logs for a different reason, and stumbled across this warning:

[26-Feb-2009 12:06:54] PHP Warning: array_merge() [<a href='function.array-merge'>function.array-merge</a>]: Argument #1 is not an array in /home/XXXXXXX/public_html/modules/Forums/common.php on line 78

Repeats every few seconds with Argument # cycling 1 through 7.

Would appreciate if anybody could shed any light on it Smile

Still running RN 2.02.02 and BBtoNuke 2.0.21

The behavior of array_merge() was modified in PHP 5.
Unlike PHP 4, array_merge() now only accepts parameters of type

However, you can use typecasting to merge other types.

Aha! Thanks Gaylen, that makes sense, my host switched to PHP 5 a while ago.

Ok, so you are saying if I insert (array) before every argument this should solve the problem for now, right?

Casting has worked for me so it should for you Smile

. Just remember that there is a certain amount of overhead involved with each cast but you probably won't notice it.

Yep, it did the trick. I don't think the overhead is greater than warning handling though Smile

Very true. Casting would be less overhead than throwing a warning Wink
