Need help with upgrade...

I've uploaded the crucial security fix files as suggested (captcha, your account, admin.php, resend_email).

I see that there is more in the RavenNuke(tm) v2.30.01 - Change Log than just the security fixes. The download however is like, the entire package... is there a documentation for the upgrade file changes, any sql changes, etc.. I've hacked the hell out of my 2.30.00 installation and not really kept track of my changes... i'm a sloppy programmer Crying or Very sad

sorry if there is docs already and i've been too lazy to find them...

No docs. You should really use Winmerge or Beyond Compare 3 to compare your files to 2.3.1. That is really the best way to do it, especially if you have made customizations and have no idea what scripts you have changed.

i've been too much of a wuss to upgrade thus far.. but i did the basic update for security from the instruction...

in my admin panel for 'user' i receive the following -

ERROR: YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOU DATA BASE TABLE NOW!!
Run rnya.php from the root of your phpnuke installation, update the database tables, and delete the file afterwards!
The version of the module is 2.30.01 and the version of your data base table is 2.3.0

problem is I can't find any rnya.php anywhere...

That file does not exist, it is for the new RN Your_Account module as per a couple of other threads. Do a search on the forums, and the solution is in there.

tremor, unfortunately, I believe that message needs to be modified as you are correct that there is no rnya.php. It is meant for you to upgrade from 2.3.0 to 2.3.1, which includes running the db update script. I believe that you can ignore that for now, but I would really strongly urge you to keep up on releases, hacked up code or no hacked up code.

BTW, are these hacks you have made anything that would have broad appeal and maybe should be added to the core of RavenNuke(tm)?

i'm going to upgrade.. if i can ever find the time to do it... and then if I do anything I'll make better note of it.. i was about to today.. but i dont think i'll be able to get the time to devote.. maybe next weekend..
