Have a client that we upgraded her domain from RN 2.02 to 2.3.01 and now she has problems with navigating the forum, not all icons show up and when she has the notify email set and when she clicks the link in the email it takes her to the topic and not the latest post.

Best I could do is to tell her to remove all cookies related to the domain but still did not fix it as well as clearing cache didn't do it either.

All other users running Netscape, Firefox, Seamonkey on PC's are not having any issues whatsoever.

Any ideas?? Need more info, I'll see what I can come up with but I don't know the questions to ask her, don't run Mac/Safari here. RN RavenIce default theme.

Also, when she makes a post and it brings you back to "view message" the link didn't work right away but after a reboot it did.

BTW: She's not the brightest bulb on the tree and stubborn as mule!! Sad

Cheers

There is a Safari release for xp and vista. That may help to reproduce the issues.

She's running a MAC not a PC but that has already been tried and Safari works just fine with XP on the site. It's a stubborn mule problem more than anything. Just got an email that she doesn't want any more suggestions, just leave it alone she says .. fine, no problem, suffer then. However, this issue I posted "may" help someone else, who knows. Smile

It's the RavenIce theme that is the root of her problem. I modified the Odyssey theme that installed with 2.3.01 and it works just fine ... for her. Everyone else will still use the default RI theme. She's outta my hair ... for the moment. Smack

That is interesting. So, must be a CSS rendering issue then? That is really weird. Any idea if she was on the latest release of Safari? That is usually the first thing that I try, to get them current. Amazing sometimes just how far behind folks can get with their software (RavenNuke(tm) included).

No idea what version she's on (she probably doesn't either), she's happy with Odyssey and I'm not going to say anything about that old theme. It works for her and she's off my keester for the moment. All the other users are ecstatic with the changes and the new RI theme. Most favorable comments center around the new forum look and feel, wide screen now and easier on the old eyes, etc.

Cheers

If it doesn't jump to the latest post, I'm wondering if its a problem reading the #12345 post anchor.

I have no problems with Firefox, Seamonkey, Flock and even NS 7.2 when I click on the emailed link notification. Others on the site also have no problems.

I'm wondering if this is a cookie-based issue as she stays logged in all the time, even overnight and she's not active. Cookie expires and when she goes back, she's using the old cookie rather than generating a new one ... dunno, just a shot in the dark. I can't think of anything else because nobody can repro the problem.

Cheers
