cron job being blocked by Sentinel

I have NS 2.4.2 on one of my sites and it is blocking a cronjob that runs in the background and simply does a few looks up in the database after doing an include of the mainfile.php and then sends out emails

the type of block is unknown so other than switching off NS completely how can i prevent it blocking my cron ?

Maybe re-write the cron job to not include mainfile. Just include the database parameters you need from config.php right into the cron job? Also, your NS version is way out of date. It would be a great idea to update it if you have time (or install RN 2.3 which has the latest NS built in).
