Is there available a hack/module for a pbpbb forum ranking system which look past activity by timeframe, not just a total amount of messages.

Interesting concept Wink. I have never even thought about that approach. I am not aware of one but hopefully others may have come across something.

One approach could be an admin module which calculate past activity by auto/manual request. Would this be something that you could consider as a feature enhancement to RN?

Actually, I think that would be doubtful as we are trying to separate more from phpBB v2 in preparation for replacing the forums system at some point in a future release. I cannot see building in more "hooks" into RN when it goes against our roadmap.

That's a good point in current situation. However, this would be very interesting information to see in admin perspective Smile.

Are there any existing mods (for phpBB 2 or 3) that do this sort of thing?

Well as far as activity goes you could use the points system to control the ranks. Each activity like making a news topic, voting on a survey, making a post, downloading a file ect. could up the points which in turn would change your rank.
