sorry if this question has been awnsered before.

I am running ravennuke 2.10.01 nuke7.6 the nukebb is 2.1

Im trying to setup a phpbb as a subdomain, reason is to run MPS(myspaceclone) plus with the theme im using for my nuke portal it is hard to read the furoms.

My question is:

Is it possible to setup a phpbb as a subdomain that will crossreferance all the data from the database from the nukebb on the main site, of course everything is on the same server.

Is this a futile endevor?

Its possible I think but it would be a problem with duplicate content in search engines with the same data.
Search the forums I believe several users asked a similar question before.

this is where original phpnuke forums are

forums.mainsite.com
this is where Im gonna place the forums

Im gonna use fantastico to install phpbb will this ruin the data base?
If not then I will install it.

Then I will worry about cross referancing after the fact.

No there hasn't been an independent phpBB that integrates data from phpNuke.

However the forums in phpNuke is fairly similar to phpBB and most addons will work with some modifications. That is probably the best way to do it if you already have existing phpNuke users.

alright then, what would happen if I basicly droped the forums modual into the subdoman and sorted through the code and mad changes, if I needed too?

Edit:

if I droped the forums in the subdomain and changed the subdomain forums configuration

domain name to: forums.mysite.com

then changed the script path to:

No the forums files require the use of the phpNuke file structure.
You would need to run your subdomain as an alias back to the main phpNuke site and then you could do some fancy mod_rewrite to get it to display the forums on the index
