Dynamic Titles and the Quick Reply

Hopefully I got this in the right place.. Not sure if Shortlinks and Dynamic Titles are considered a "companion" product....

Noticed a nice feature on this site that isnt in the standard RN21. When users post and leave the subject blank, this site fills in the original title of the post preceded by the RE:

RE:Dynamic Titles and the Quick Reply

Since the "quick reply" of fisubice doesnt contain a subject field, we end up with alot blank subjects

so instead of nice page titles like

Code:

Post Subject - Post content .. .... . .. . . . .

they look like

Code:

- Post content .. .... . .. . . . .

If the user begins his post with quotes and smilies we end up with some fairly unattractive page titles. So, in conclusion... Is this mod available??

I have actually moved this to the "Enhancements Requests" forum for RN.

That is definitely interesting. I had not noticed that previously. I'll have to look into that some more. It may not be a BBtoNuke thing at all, but rather a DT fix. I might end up moving this back... Wink

Thanks! I figured since it worked here that way the answer was somewhere at hand... Not really a critical fix for me, but it would be nice for search engines to index those pages/posts with titles that at least had something to do with subject matter Smile

I will keep an eye on this thread

Ah, thanks for reminding me about this thread. I have fixed this in the latest Dynamic Titles which is available 2.10.01 as well as a separate download as version 1.1 on my site.

Although the real issue is with the forum mod as kguske has mentioned, I did not want to touch it, so I made provisions for it in the DT code.
