Hi there, yep my first post.

I just upgraded our fairly-new site from PHPNuke 6.5 to PHPNuke 7.6, then to PHPNuke 7.6 Patched 3.3. That went sorta well... still have to work on updating my mods from 6.5.

I then fresh-installed NukeSentinel 2.5.0.4 over top of PHPNuke 7.6 patched 3.3. I kept getting an error every time I try to uncomment this function in admin.php:

Code:
//Uncomment the following lines after setting the site url in the Administration
//global $nukeurl;
//if (!stripos_clone($_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'], $nukeurl)) {
//  die("Access denied");
//}

If I uncomment the above, I immediately get "Access Denied" when I try to access admin.php. We already have set the Site URL line in the Site Administration menu set to http://yoursite.com ... which is the correct full URL for our index page.

I looked at several pieces of code, including (relevant files shown only):

MySQL:

nuke_config table (verified $nukeurl = Site URL in Admin Menu)

PHP files:

admin.php
mainfile.php
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Fix:

Yeah, this is going to sound dumb, but PHPNuke 6.5 (our version at least) did not use the $nukeURL for much. http://yoursite.com is actually wrong. The script in mainfile.php adds

in front of the Site URL, so be sure that in the site administrator menu, the Site URL is only yoursite.com.

I'm leaving this here because I'm sure someone else ran into this problem. Laughing

Not if that's the most updated version your host gives you...

Note my surprise when I found out just how much of an update this was!
