I found where to adjust it, but it seems like it is still off by 1 pixel on the right side. Could that be the border?

The admin index will have a shoutbox selection.

I dont see anywhere in the admin index to adjust the length though, I found the file for the box but dont see the line to adjust the numbers for the width.

In the nuke administration panel should be an entry called Shoutbox. Click on it and modify the entry called width from 145 to 130 and see if that helps.

You guys have it easy. Smile I have a worse problem with a shout box:
Code:

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/southern/public_html/includes/sql_layer.php on line 286
Error in query: select * from nuke_quiecom_shoutblock order by id DESC LIMIT . You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/southern/public_html/includes/sql_layer.php on line 286

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/southern/public_html/admin/modules/ShoutBlock.php on line 308

The first error showed on my index page after I activated the Quiecom shoutbox block and the other two errors showed in my Qshoutbox admin panel. Has anyone an idea how to correct this so I can have a working shoutbox? And I won't mind a widdle width problem. Smile

MySQL isn't connecting. Are you sure the tables got installed and the connection parameters are correct?

All I know is what the Readme said:
Quote:

Nuke Shoutblock - PHP-Nuke Shoutblock Module
============================================

Quick and Dirty Install:

Step One: Place files on server
Step Two: Log into phpnuke as an administrator
Step Three: under administration/Qshoutblock select "install database"

When I went to admin and clicked the Qshoutbox icon the errors showed, and there was no 'install database' that I saw.

Hey, it might work... I went back to admin and clicked 'reinstall database' at the bottom of the Qshoutbox panel.

I tried my site in netscape, and that Qshoutbox makes the entire side of the page scroll, any blocks below the shoutbox will just scroll up. The marquee code is suppose to be netscape compat but it just makes it worse. Would be better if it was like other marquee blocks that just dont show anything in netscape.

What scrolling code, prithee? I want a scrolling shoutbox like the one you have, and if I can't find one... well, ganjaUK, I'll have to take yours away from you!!

I emailed it to you. Some of the opentable() closetable() in the shoutbox admin section are a little messed up but it all works. Wink

vibro,
Raven included a ShoutBox with his customized 7.3 distro, and as a seperate download for the Add-On pack. You should be able to find it in the Downloads here at

or I can send you a zip with the files for just the ShoutBox.

Just let me know...
