Wondering if anyone can shed any light on this...

When trying to install any of the sql dumps via the installsql.php file I keep getting the message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: gzfile() in /srv/www/htdocs/raven/INSTALLATION/installSQL.php on line 214

I'm running PHP 4.3.10 so I believe that I have the function in place but is there a way of checking? or am I doing something else wrong?

Thank you All

Craig

Weird, it says gzfile should be available for PHP 3 and higher.

That's what I thought!

Looking in phpinfo it does say that I apparantly have gzip, deflate....

Only think I can think is that I don't actually have gx support on the server?!? but I honestly wouldn't know how to test it....

ok so i know this is a really weird way of going about it and i know your going to laugh at me Wink , but with a bit of chopping and changing i got it to work, please forgive me if i have done something wrong but i am no expert at php coding at all, infact i couldnt code my way out of a wet paper bag. i just thought to share this with you incase it comes in handy.

FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE i386
PHP-5.2.5
MySQL-5.0.51
Apache/2.2.6 (Unix) PHP/5.2.5 mod_ssl/2.2.6 OpenSSL/0.9.7e-p1
RavenNuke v2.10.01

Relating to installSQL.php

firstly, on line 290 i changed '$lines = gzfile($sqlFolder.$value);' to '$lines = file($sqlFolder.$value);'

secondly, i extracted the .sql files out of the .sql.gz archives in sql/

thirdly i changed lines 225 through to 236 and removed .gz off the end

Code:

            'rnIP2Country1Sql'=>'rn_ip2c1.sql',
            'rnIP2Country2Sql'=>'rn_ip2c2.sql',
            'rnIP2Country3Sql'=>'rn_ip2c3.sql',
            'rnIP2Country4Sql'=>'rn_ip2c4.sql',
            'rnIP2Country5Sql'=>'rn_ip2c5.sql',
            'rnIP2Country6Sql'=>'rn_ip2c6.sql',
            'rnIP2Country7Sql'=>'rn_ip2c7.sql',
            'rnIP2Country8Sql'=>'rn_ip2c8.sql',
            'rnIP2Country9Sql'=>'rn_ip2c9.sql',
            'rnIP2Country10Sql'=>'rn_ip2c10.sql',
            'rnIP2Country11Sql'=>'rn_ip2c11.sql',
            'rnIP2Country12Sql'=>'rn_ip2c12.sql'
