I´m missing the word nix and nichts however I´m sure you know how you can check this with different tools and without link it´s like a guessing game.
I had last year a discussion in my German FF forum about a nuke site with blank page in Firefox and the interesting thing was that they different members did´t saw the same. Some people who checked this blank site got a blank page and another saw only the source code. It was fixed by Bob Marion something with the mainfile.php If I remember correctly.

what the heck? I just installed a fresh load of this on a different server the other day and had no problems...somethigns up.

ah ha...okay..recal: I did not run any upgrade scripts..and guess what. Flrum admin does not work, I get this:

Code:
phpBB : Critical Error

Error creating new session

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1054 Unknown column 'session_admin' in 'field list'

INSERT INTO nuke_bbsessions (session_id, session_user_id, session_start, session_time, session_ip, session_page, session_logged_in, session_admin) VALUES ('eb25998ea5fcdc552f63c6ad9c3c20fa', '1', '1143238529', '1143238529', '44f97e56', '0', '0', '0')

Line : 203
File : sessions.php

I had this same problem the other day..there is a problem with the DB that sessions.php is still loooking for table..someone here had a workaround, but only a band-aid...can't remember.
The upgrade script "sort of fixes" this problem, but I not think it is fixed right.

Normally with such problems I would first clear the chache, test this with another browser like you already did and of course some other checks with the http viewer,W3C,CSS check. But it´s a strange problem because it´s a fresh installation. Possible it works proper in my IE version, but that doesn´t help you with this problem.

not sure what to say. I have two sites up and running on RN76 2.02.00, one brand new installation, and the other was an upgrade from 7.5. I am using the same download as you. I have also installed this on two other test installations.

What I am thinking is could the download you pulled not save properly on your local PC/server, OR

Is it possible the tool you used to extract the files messed up, OR

The tool you used to FTP the files has somehow messed up.

I just don't understand what else it could be. Is there something unique with the target environment. Are you able to compare a phpinfo() from a working RN762.02 with the one that isn't? Maybe something there will have a clue.

Well no solutions here but I just want to add I downloaded and installed 2006-01-10 v2.02.00 on the 8th March 2006. Following all the instruction encountered no such blank forum error.

Did you upload all of the 'default' theme that RavenNuke uses?

hit - is this installation on the same server as a working RN?
If not, do you have access to a hosting account on a different server to try the installation?
I'm just trying to eliminate server configuration / mod_sec misconfiguration.

well i found out what was wrong, its not ravenpack itself but for some weird reason it had its root messed up or to blind to see it..lol
i had it installed on another domain but is infact a subdomain...
now realise ive done these test installs a dozen times and this is the first time it doesnt work in this way.
so i moved to my normal root and forums show..
weird...

WOW..same exact thing here.
I had php-nuke in a htdocs directory. once I moved up to the root, then the forums are there.

huh?

My reply says that I had the same problem as you.
When I moved PHP-Nuke to the ROOT of my web directory, then I can see the forums...that is all.
