This is a neat phpBB mod which only takes a minute or so to install. It stops the view count from being increased on a forum post whenever the author of the post views it.

I am using it on phpNuke V7 site and can be downloaded from the phbBB site: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=94503&highlight=stop+author+view
