I just looged in to my user account on my new installation of nuke 7.6 with patch 3.1

Then I went to the 'Your Home' page and checked the 'Activate Personal Menu' check box.

I was happily 'playing' with this and trying some html tags etc, but the last code I entered has stopped the function from working. The current code in the field is as follows:

I pasted the first part of the code in repeatedly because the box is limited to 255 charcters and I wanted to see what happens if a user tries to entre more code than is allowed. However I do not recall pasting in the rest, but maybe I did just as some 'random' text and to see what would happend if the box had too much content added etc.

What I have found is that the above code has now stopped the SAVE CHANGES button from appearing, so I am now no longer able to use the function and I am stuck witht the aformentioned code.

Does anyone know how I can restore this to working order and eliminate the bug?

I am hoping this is not a MySQL problem as I have absolutely no clue on how to make any manual changes to the database.

Once this is resolved, it would be good if I could make the number of characters acceptable, more than 255.

Hey Guy's,

I just seen that my web host has a facilily to restore the MySQL Database to an ealier time of day.

Because I have no important info in the database, (because this is a new installation), I decided to give the restore facility a go.

I restored the database to an earlier time before I made changes to the 'User Custom block' and everything is working again!

So it appears this was indeed a database problem.

Can anyone explain what it was and how I can prevent this from happening when future users of my site make such a 'mistake'?

Is it possible to allow people to enter more than just 255 characters to the box?
