My site is not about nuke in anyway. How do I take out the nuke topic in the drop down menu in the create news module.

Through the admin panel delete the Topic by clicking on the Topic icon and then select Delete.

Are you referring to category or topic. Categories you can delete in admin but topic you can't. Also how to add pictures to the categories. Mine just has a red x picture with the picture url [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] I tracked that link down and found that it is in index.php under modules/news/admin and I tried changing <img src=\"images/topics/$topicimage to the link of my picture but it doesn't work. Mi even close?

Click on Topics when logged in as Admin. That will display the Topics Manager panel. Then, click on the image you want to delete. At the bottom of the edit panel is a Delete button.

To be honest I feel like I never get a straight answer from you. I try my best to ask the question as specific as possible but I never get an answer I understand. Where is the Topics Manager Panel I've never seen it before in Admin. Do you mean News because that's the closes thing I can find. I just don't want the users having the possiblity of choosing php nuke as a topic when submitting news.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Never a straight answer? Log into your Nuke Administration Panel. You will see a Topics link or image, depending on how you have your preferences. Then, click on it and you will see your Topic Manager Panel.

Your misunderstanding of an answer does not constitute someone " not giving you a straight answer". You should perhaps read a reply a couple of times if you do not understand it. The topics admin is very clearly placed in the admin panel. It is quite simple for even a newcommer to find. I would hope that you will choose your words more carefully in the future. Experimenting with your site might not be a bad idea either. Wink Raven always does his best to answer people. We should thank him rather then to criticize for our own shortcomings.(my two cents). Best of luck to you in the future.

Woa so quick to defend : ) I have the right to my own opinion although I'll keep it to myself next time. Experiementing? I'll try that lol. I've done more in a week for my site then any can do without prior knowledge to php nuke. I was generalizing from previous posts not this one. I apologize Raven for my own shortcomings. I must have deleted the topics module or something. I'll just move on to the next thing on the list I have to do. Cheers

Of course you have a right to your opinion. I also have the right to yell 'Fire' in a theater, but that does not mean that I should do it. You said

Please consider all the help I have given you both offline and online. I do not always draw a picture for someone unless they ask me to. You originally asked

A simple and direct question. My response was simple, direct, exactly correct and straight. However, I have no clue as to how you or anyone might have customized their site. And if you deleted the Topics module, by mistake or not, how am I to know that? I have read over this thread many times and I can't see, in any way, how you did not get a straight answer. Your site may not be about nuke, but you do use nuke as your site CMS. If you haven't already, I would suggest that you read the nuke manual here: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] . That may help you avoid some of these pitfalls.

Sorry don't know how to add pic here. Take my word on it I don't see an icon w/ topics underneath it. It is possible that I deleted it last week.

My apology once again Raven I was just a little frustrated. I will refrain from further opinions and will strictly post questions. I had a feeling you were gonna give me that howto link Smile

You did, indeed, delete it. I have restored the Topics module for you. Try it now.

Please go to your admin panel and then on your keyboard hit the print screen key. Then open up paint in your programs and go to edit paste. then save it as a .jpg not a .bmp. then put it in your sites root where your main nuke files are. Then here post the image in your post by using the image tags
