OK complete newbie...
I have nuke 7.5 and NukeSentinel 2.2.0 installed. I have gotten all of the basics done (mainfile and javascript are edited)
I can't ban specific IP addresses but banning of a range of IPs works.
For instance:

If I want to ban IP 123.123.123.123
Putting that specific IP address in as a "Blocked IP" does nothing. (without .htaccess enabled)

Putting that IP as follows into a "Blocked Range" works
Block 123.123.123.123 to 123.123.123.124

Now if I put the specific IP into the "Blocked IP" menu (with .htaccess enabled) it will add it to the .htaccess but then instead of seeing the nasty Sentinel Protected page they get an apache test page making it just look like my site is down or messed up.

What am I doing wrong?
I have searched the forums and can't seem to find anything similar but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It sounds like you have your site setup to route banned people to that apache page.

Question, do you have NukeSentinel 2.2.0 or NukeSentinel 2.2.0 pl1? The pl1 takes care of an issue in hte blocked ip database insertion that came about from the Patched 2.9 integration.

nope Ok now I have tried everything...
I just patched to 2.9 from here:
Code:
http://www.nukeresources.com/downloadview-details-930-Nuke_7.5_Patched.html

Then I chose the uninstal script from the nsnst.php menu and re installed all of the database tables.

same results ... I can block a range and get the proper page but when blocking one specific IP I get the apache config pageat best... if I disable the .htaccess write I can get to the page as if there was no block in place at all.

As far as I can tell I have the latest version of NukeSentinel... I only downloaded it 2 days ago. When I went back to the site today yup its the Pl1 version so I'm not sure whats up ?

Thanks in advance for any other suggestions Smile

Question, did you upload and install NukeSentinel 2.2.0 pl1? If not then you need to download the package adn upload the files just as before but you do not need to run the installer since the tables are already there.

NukeSentinel 2.2.0 has an issue with storing the blocked ip's whereas NukeSentinel 2.2.0 pl1 has this issue corrected hence the pl1 for Patch Level 1 Smile
