7.6 + 2.8 chatserv patch - bugs in Admin area

Hi

I've just installed the phpnuke 7.6. with 2.8. patch and all works fine except for the admin area. If I wanted to click on e.g. Backup DB the link looks like this: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

or even preferences: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

the 'admin' portion is missing. What could be causing this?

Check if register globals is turned off. Turning it back on will most likely resolve the issue.

but I'm on shared hosting, I could ask the hosting company, but it probably has to do with that $admin_file.".php in admin.php right?

$admin_file is set on config.php right?

config.php was the only file I didn't replace (I still had config.php from version 7.5!)
