“I have the enormous pleasure to announce the release of the next stable beta version of CNB Your Account module. This rapid advancement is only possible due to the previously unknown international partnership with two great collaborators, Richard van Oosterhout and Peter Lindgren, who have been responsible for great advances in the development of the program. This new version counts on some resources and found small corrections of bugs.

If you are using phpnuke 7.4 or less you must know that I doscovered a small but important error in the files we supply in the extra folder.
By mistake it got into this build, but will be corrected asap.
It is best to use the files from beta1 or make the folowing changes:

from:
admin/case/case.users.php
admin/links/links.editusers.php
admin/modules/users.php

remove:
Code:
if (!defined('CNBYA')) { exit; }

Only from the specified files!

Cheers, and enjoy beta2 !!!

Here are the 7.4 and lower admin files [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

I'll pull this when the main archive is updated.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

It was an over site I had included the constants.php in our first test then somewhere along the line somehow it was left out. Leaving it all out seems more sensible for the time being until the functionality gets full throttled.

I may be speaking out of turn here but I believe the plan is to see what bugs if any come up over the next week or so. Then put any corrections and any other changes that are complete out as the final 4.4.0. It will be some time before there is another while we work on some major changes. No set date as of now but when its ready we'll bring it forward. I'm going out on a limb here and saying this will take us 3-4 weeks.

I believe we will continue to make fairly frequent updates as there is a lot of improvements to make. The more active group of beta testers we have the less often we will have to make public beta releases of course.

Now I am having problems with it as well
I have PHPNuke 7.4
So, I uploaded the files in the extras folders as well
when it installs the tables using the install script (cnbya.php)
it says succeeded on all tables it adds
but it fails every time on ALTER TABLE users & ALTER TABLE users_temp

I have no clue unless - someone can make an actual *.sql file from the darn cnbya.php then I would just install manually and probably have no probs
I have NO users because I have yet to enable Your_Account until now - but its now useless....lol

ADDED:
I was looking further into it and I think I noticed a problem
I think the install assumes the database prefix is one word like
nuke so when its creating the table it uses $prefix and then _cnbya_config
but my db name is like this xxxx_xxxx - i really don't know what the hay $prefix means
and if that means its recognizing everything prior to the first underscore or not
but the tables that are being created only have the first part of my db name in them
and it fails on TABLE ALTER for both users and users temp

any ideas how to create an install that will work or is it me???? [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

The $prefix is what is set in your config php. The error I think is in the installer under case "install": around line 109 should be $prefix not $user_prefix. Many people use the same prefix for both in config and that is most likely why no one has noticed this before now.
$result = $db->sql_query("ALTER TABLE ".$user_prefix."_users ADD agreedtos TINYINT(1) DEFAULT 0 NOT NULL");

Rest assured we'll really confuse you when we drop support for 6x versions and put all the unique tables under $user_prefix Mr. Green but we'll get the installer setup to handle the conversion without a hiccup.

Makes more sense but it still is a little different for me
the $prefix defined in my config is just one word
the db which I had to create through a control panel my host provides adds my account username to the beginning of the db name so when I used phpMyAdmin the first time I saw it was doing that - So anyway - are you saying that if I go and use find&replace and replace all instances of $user_prefix with $prefix it should fix the prob Im havin?

LOLOLOL

I just figured out that aint the case
I replaced all instances of $user_prefix with $prefix
and the exact opposite happened
ALL the INSERT TABLES failed and the ALTER TABLES WORKED!
LOLOLOLO
can ya just show me the code to replace lolololol

WhoooooAAAA - I gotta lay off the sauce when Im workin - IT did work
I just had forgotten to - De-Install before using the modified cnbya.php

Thanks for da help -
Everything seemed ok with installer -all said succeeded but I logged out and tried to create an account - after deleting all cookies and it went until after I clicked finished then it said ERROR WITH DATABASE

hey hey people
I have PHPNuke 7.5 installed.
And now CNB 4.4.0 Beta 2
Oke... I have a big problem.
After every line of info you need to fill in it puts a ' caractre aftre it
so also in the username and e-mail and all
How can I fix this?
I think more people have this problem....

Thanks in advance... Smile

Yes this happens on some servers running in CGI mode with magic quotes off.
In the modules/Your_Account/includes/functions.php find the function ya_fixtext()

Replace these 2 lines
$ya_fixtext = ereg_replace("\'","´",$ya_fixtext);
$ya_fixtext = ereg_replace("\"",""",$ya_fixtext);
with this one
$ya_fixtext = check_html($ya_fixtext);

We have a better solution in the next full version but this should work for now.

4.4.2 will work with RN 7.6, though you might wish to make a few modifications to use NukeSentinel for banning users instead of the IP ban. If you search the forums here, you'll find a link to a version that someone created for that.
