I have an awful lot of smilies on my site and note that they're very slow to load. Is there a smilie limit for the forums?

I have about 300 and have another couple of hundred to add on - but it would take forever for the page to load!

Question Idea

You will use up your bandwidth pretty quick with that many smilies.

I used to go to a site that used tons of smilies and I quit going there just because of the time it took for all the smilies to load.

Don't do it! Very Happy

Is it best then to put the smilies on another site and just link to them?

It's so people can express how they feel without being rude to each other... and I love these little smilies...

I guess I would say just try it a few different ways and see what works best.

You can create a smilie pack from your smilies admin. Do that after you get one way set up then try another.

I am not sure how you can link them from another site though.

I can put them all on another site I have and let people link that way... I'll just give the instructions...
