This has probably been discussed, but I didn't see anything come up in the search.

I have content that I syndicate (rss) and feature in a block on my site. My problem is the mouseover displays a large picture along with text. I'm sure there is a way to limit the size of the pop up picture.(?) The picture is large and misplaced a little, preventing a click, without repositioning link near the top of the browser. I am using RavenIce.

Any help or link to an older post is always appreciated.

Add this to your themes style.css file at the bottom

Code:

.nukePIEbody img {max-width:150px;}

you can adjust the width from 150 to whatever you want the max to be. The image will auto scale the height.

Thanks for the reply, Nuken.

That narrows the picture, but doesn't do anything for the height. It still covers the link that is being hovered and can't be clicked. I suppose it now needs a height limit, but even the text can fill a lot of space. I think I can fix the text by putting in the 2nd box of the editor. It seems that the location of the pop up needs to be shifted to allow a click or to move on to another link. I could also put a smaller picture in the header and the larger picture in the body of the article. Not sure that would look as good, though.

Any other suggestions?

What browser are you using? Most all of them auto scale an image if you use either the max width or height limit.

If you want to control the size of the whole box, use this code:

Code:

.nukePIEbody img {max-width:150px; max-height:150px;}
.nukePIEbody {max-width:350px;}
.nukePIEhdr {max-width:350px;}

Yes, you rock, Nuken. We should incorporate this into the base RavenNuke. Thoughts?
