PhotoGallery and latest RN

I have been looking around the forums and found one link but cant find it now so I thought I would ask.

I am in need of a general PhotoGallery option for a site I have been asked to work on.

Is there a specific one that works best with RN or is it best to use an outside program like Flickr?

Trying searching the forums (specifically modules) for "gallery" or "coppermine" or "igallery" to name a few.

Don't know what's outdated and what's not.

Menalto Gallery is a full featured product. Unfortunately, its integration into Ravennuke is less than perfect and is only available for the Gallery 2.x product line at present. Gallery 3.x only became available as an official release in the last two months (September 2010) and is not yet integrated or embedded into Ravennuke or any *nuke product that I know of.

I run Gallery 2.x on several sites successfully. You can find a number of threads here on the topic and if you decide to go that route you can get some help here. Just bear in mind that it is a very complex product (probably more code in it than the whole of Ravennuke) and is dependent on server setup and requires some expertise in administration. They've stripped down the product significantly for the 3.x product line and it looks very promising to me. But it's going to take some work to embed it and I suspect we are going to have to roll our own.
