I put this question to my users...+10,000...and this is what they said they would like to see in a new site. Most of it centers on "Forum" stuff....but I still find it interesting!

I post this to be helpful and share my users feedback. (Something that is hard to get in the wild)

I would like to hover my cursor over a post and see the first couple lines of that post. I would also like to open a post and be able to go to the first unread post sense my last log in.

The forum post preview option and read next new post are definitely nice options to have.

New Forum Post Link at the bottom of each thread.

I like the idea of holding a cursor over the post to catch the first 2 lines.

I'd like a way to "ignore" certain threads, so they didn't always pop up orange/gold.

It might be only me, but when I click the "new forum posts" button and it is more than 1 page long, when I go to click on the second page it returns "no new posts".

What I like is to be able to Pm someone just by placing the cursor on is profile or name..... And maybe see his other posts........

Spell check would be nice.

Just thought I would share....

The nukeSEO Mouse Hover Topic Boxover forums mod does this.

Regarding spell check, this has also been done (at least with FCKeditor), but the overhead is excessive. Using FireFox, with built-in spell checking, is much better.

First of all thanks for sharing the mod.

Very Happy I did it but..When the forum is sticky then it doesnt show. Only show the name of the forum. Why did it happen that? Shocked

Search results are cached, for a certain period. Once that period has expired, clicking the next page will return no results because that cache has been removed.

Is there a way to change that cache setting?

Probably but I haven't looked into it myself.
