Hi All,

I have upgraded from Nuke 7.6 to RN 2.20.01 and everything was working fine. Now all of a sudden, I cannot do any news posts. The moment I post a news article it vanishes - I can preview it etc. but cannot post to database. The following is my nuke_stories table structure -

Have you turned error reporting on and DB logging?

Please post back with any errors generated.

I am having the same problem but I did not upgrade the nuke. I am still using nuke8. I can preview the news posts I make but I can not post them. They just vanish without a trace.

Anyone Please help me.. I have nt changed anything or done anything jut today poof no posts.....

I even put on the display error to show the errors.... Well with most programs it shows it on he page.. well if its true with nuke nothing is showing up.. no errors so im stuck... please help...

Error reporting is on, but no errors are reports. Not sure about DB Logging Embarassed but when I click submit, it vanishes.

Look in rnconfig.php I believe the setting is in there to activate and the instructions on using it.

It looks like you have a few problems with your database tables. I would recommend comparing your database to a stock RN database using a tool like mySQLDiff.

You can look in rn_core.sql file in the INSTALLATION folder of your distribution for the "official" definitions of any tables. I see no "image" field in the official definition for the stories table and that's probably what's generating the errors. I also can find no reference to nsnsp table in the INSTALLATION directory. I have no idea what that is. You should probably look through your distribution and see what program is referencing that and maybe we can figure out what's wrong. You may also need to reference the HowToInstall guide to figure out how to activate the mail and seo configurations because those tables are missing.

jib_intelli, to get rid of many of these errors, simply go to the Administration Control Panel (ACP) and lick on the TegoNuke Mailer link/icon and nukeFEED one. That should take care of many of these. However, the one that is definitely the issue is this one:

October 17, 2008, 3:26 pm 1136 : Column count doesn't match value count at row 1
SQL was: insert into nuke_stories values

That is the one that is causing your specific issue. If I had to guess, you were once using NSN News (I can tell this because of the last column of data looks like a group number) and RN is NOT NSN News aware. So, you can either remove that column using phpMyAdmin, or re-install the NSN News script files.

Pretty sure this is your issue.

It worked!!! Thanks everyone - Problem solved! I just had an extra line in the nuke_stories structure - which as Montego said, I removed and the news posting is now working.
