Hello All,
I set my website to admin approved registeration. however this does not seem to work. the user can register and it send an email with the link and then he can post in my public forums. I upgraded from 2.10.01 to 2.20.01 and i still have the same problem.

I did run the regration fix and it said that i was already fixed.

I use autotheme.

Thanks
Lonk

I have the same problem. I want to activate users by myself. But somehow they register, get an activation link I think, and then they can log in without me activating them.

Admin approved registration did never worked in Nuke integrated forums. So if you can´t wait until there is a new release of RavenNuke wich contains a cool new, extended Your Account module with this feature install the light version of TegoNuke(tm) Approve Membership from Only registered users can see links on this board! I don´t know what you mean with the regration fix.

Btw: RavenNuke 2.30 is coming soon Wink

Let me second what Susann said. You gotta be nuts to install Approve Membership now with 2.3 on the way. Instead read Raven's Post about helping with the testing of 2.3 and help out there the best you can.

Just in case they weren't aware of the proposed changes for 2.3.0, the next update of RavenNuke, which is due as soon as it's been properly tested, will included a significantly enhanced Your Account module, based on CNB YA.

We refer to it as RNYA, and it includes:
- built-in support for admin approval of members,
- inline validation of registration fields,
- a much improved interface for managing members,

among many other enhancements.

Is there a way then to turn off/deactivate user registrations.

Exampe: You want some people you know to join your site. Then you don't want any more new users. Is there a way to do that? Maybe editing a file or adding/deleting something in a file?

Yes, there is a setting in RNYA that allows you to disable registration.
