Hi.. I have people registering left right and center! I went into admin and the modules admin and clicked on forums and went to "Enable account activation" and checked "Admin"

Now I thought that would be the end of it all. I am NOT getting any emails to say "new registration etc" the registration process dosent seem to be as secure as say "PHP NUKE Platinum"

Can someone hep me? I am after a way to rectify this and NOT let anyone into the forums until I get an email, I am a newbie to this and dont know what addon-mods to use Embarassed

It sounds like you need something like the Approve Membership module.

I assume you are looking to approve each member?

Could you point me in the right direction to find it ?

The approve membership module can be found here: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

If you are running straight 7.6, then you will need to make sure you are running the latest patched files.

If you are running RavenNuke this module won't work straight of the box, but there is a Approve Membership Lite module for RN, which can be found at: [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

If you do a search of the forums these modules have been discussed before, so you will be able to find further information.

Wazza reading your post I had a Dejavu and found out why:
[ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

Isn´t that the exact same problem ? Oh no sorry, the old post had a better title. Razz

So you know already how to fix this beneed this I would not allow registration through the forums and you should know that the standard security code doesn´t prevent spam registration there.
