Is it possible to "boot" logged in users?

I know phpNuke is not a chat script but is it possible to "boot" a logged in user? I know that you can use NukeSentinel to temporarily ban a user but it still does not "boot" the person off as long as the person remains logged-in. Thanks.

Well change their password hehe. Then their cookie won't match and it should "boot" them

OK, that's not a bad way to try ... then I'll have to just email a reminder why they got booted and their new password.

Question though :- if they never click the logout link/button, even with changing their password, would that really work?

No, not really. Only for the session that they're on. Then I don't mind if they log in again, hopefully then with a better realization that one can't misbehave. Very Happy

Seems like a lot of hard work to me. Wouldn't it just be easier to delete their post, then THEY have to do the work to re-post it.

True and for the forum I've got the Jail mod which seems to work well. The problem is the shoutbox and the comments area in the news posts. Never mind, just curious if there was a one-click boot thingy somewhere. I'll just block him out for a few days for now. Very Happy
