i'm using an Mtec theme with a theme control panel, however when i setup the links in the header and click on them, they take me Content module and not that actual page the link is set to. not sure if this is a version issue or what but i can't seem to figure it out...

thanks

Can you verify what is stored in the theme configuration table after configuring the link?

With a database tool like phpMyAdmin.

I have a question along these same lines. I'm looking at the Mtech Christmas theme and in the read me it says:

xmas.txt- This is the only file needed to config buttons, title etc. If you open the text file, you can see how the default order is setup, look at the theme on browser while looking at the text file, then Im sure the rest is easy.

I've looked at the xmas.txt file but I have no idea where to begin the edit to get the home, forum, etc buttons display and work.

I don't use Mtech themes, but I'd guess that they are either configured with a text file or with a database file. If it's a text file, post the text file here so we can figure out what config parameters it uses.

Looks pretty straightforward - the label is the link label, and the link is the URL you want to use. If you're not using URL rewriting (TegoNuke, GT NextGen, etc.), you can specify the link using the forum downloads.html or even use a link to another site. Just change this text file and upload to your server in the same location.
