Hi,

It is my first time here on this board, so therefore I am not quit sure if I am on the right board with my question, sorry!

Since short time I am working with PHP, at least try to work with it Smile I have a question about inserting a document in a page;

I have made a flipbook with flippublisher and I see how to insert an image or something but in the menu I dont see an option to insert other diversal documents, beside image and flash, so I have really no idea how to insert this document, its a *.opd doc ... Can somebody help me with this?

thanks already,

greetings

Donna Smile

You mean .opf (Open electronic book Package Format) ...mmm,ive never seen it and unless im looking the wrong way but i have serious doubts if this can be included as in php.
I did checked the forum where the software comes from and one interesting thing mentioned is that maybe your host doesnt supports the extension.

other solution would be to put it in a frame...

hi,

yes indeed I ment opf...

I have seen the website also and also did not find some about this, thats why I placed my question here ... my host is my server linux, so that should not be a problem, it is more about how it is possible to insert an *.opf document on a php site ...

I am not so much experienced about frames, very less, but i think if I put it in a frame then the e-book/album effect would be gone, right? the possibility for example of turning a page like in a book/album would not be there anymore or yes?

thanks (dank je wel Wink )

greetings,

Donna Smile

well it would be easier so it can be tried online if it will work in a frame..

as I said I am not experienced with frames, if I put it in a frame (as already I dont know how to do that) would that not take away the book/album effect?

it would be easier to help you if you could do what hitwalker asked you. Frames are simple and once we saw if it could be done you would know if you are wasting your time or not. Good Luck!

i downloaded a sample one. However, I am not downloading that program to view it. I will have to let one of the rest of you do that. AT any rate.. for anyone who wants to download the sample.. here is the direct download url to bypass them trying to force you to install their program first

also, from looking at that flip site it seems that if you use XFLIP people are not FORCED to download that flip program to view your files. As a person who HATES to be forced to download something, I think that this would be a good thing for you to look into.

this explains most of what is needed to publish your flipbook online.
