Ok I finally got sentinel working but I think its working TO good.....It has blocked 3 in the last hour and I noticed all three were blocked when trying to make an account with the security code. Is this normal? My security codes are visible but why would it be blocking them?

Its calling it a flood attack.

If it was a caught as a flood attack, I would believe that that is what it was. I would also look up the IP in ARIN or some other such site and see if it is a search engine.

I have added this line to my robots.txt to ensure that "behaving" search bots will not trip the flood blocker:

Crawl-delay: 10

Ok I added the line to the robot.txt so now it looks like this is this correct?

User-agent: Mediapartners-Google*
Disallow:
User-agent: *
Disallow: admin.php
Disallow: /admin/
Disallow: /images/
Disallow: /includes/
Disallow: /themes/
Disallow: /blocks/
Disallow: /modules/
Disallow: /language/
Crawl-delay: 10

Are you sure that you do not want Google to crawl your site? I also believe that you should have /admin.php instead of just admin.php.

In case you are interested, this is what I use:

User-agent: *
Crawl-delay: 10
Disallow: /admin/
Disallow: /admin.php
Disallow: /images/
Disallow: /includes/
Disallow: /themes/
Disallow: /blocks/
Disallow: /modules/
Disallow: /language/
Disallow: /db/
Disallow: /cgi-bin/

I don't mind having search engines crawl my site and if I see that they are mis-behaving, I will ban them either through their User Agent (Harvester Blocker) or straight IP range...

Guardian has a neat little trick for also causing search engines to get banned automatically by NukeSentinel if they do not obey the robots.txt file. Do a search on Robots.txt to find it...

Thanks montego I think I will use your robot.txt instead and I will search for guardian too.
