Ok, I tagged along in another topic, but I'm sure this belongs in this section of the forums.

After installing the 2.0 distro, I get a blank white screen. I tried to load up config.php with error reporting turned "on," but still a blank white screen.

Any ideas. I am almost at the critical stage of where this site needs to be up "yesterday."

Any help is appreciated.

Do you mean blank main page or blank admin area or blank forums admin?
What versions of mysql and php are you using?
Is this installed on a conventional web hosting environment or is it on a local box?
Have you verified the tables were created?

Did you get any error messages during the installation process?

PHP v 4.4.1
MySQL v 4.0.25-standard

My host is shieldhost.com

I can not access anything. Every file I try to access is blank white (exept for the image files), so blank index.php and admin.php should answer that.

No error messages, ran installsql.php fine and setup.php fine. Database was connected sucessfully and everything.

These are my installsql.php results for the database:

config.php file found!
Successfully connected to localhost as user deadecom_evo and assigned password!
Database deadecom_raven found!

The site can be found at [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

There are 105 tables installed in my database. Is that about right?

Thanks for the speedy reply! I'm here all day.

FYI, this all loaded perfectly fine in my local box.

That installation went very smoothly, utilizing the same exact steps. This leads me to believe there is a problem with the MySQL. Any ideas?

derekmac, I see that your site seems to up and just fine. What did you find that was wrong with it. This resolution might help out caretaker too.

Thanks!

I think it's my FTP program's fault it's smartftp being a #### I seen another post that recommended WS_FTP so I have Raven to thank for that as it did the job.

Thanks for the help.

Thanks

i also installed everything correctly the INSTALLATION/installSQL.php went as suppose to and INSTALLATION/setup.php was correct and i renamed the INSTALLATION file and when i go to mysite.com/admin.php i get this.

I detect some installation files still located in your INSTALLATION folder.

To continue would expose your site to damage.

You must either delete the INSTALLATION folder or rename it in order to proceed!

can you help?

It sounds like your ftp software is giving you problems. Renaming the INSTALLATION directory should have allowed you to continue - at least that has been my experience from the dozens of sites I have installed.

You are correct i was listening to music on my computer while uploading the files. That was the only difference from it not working to it working.

Now can you tell me this:

I deleted all the themes but your initial ravenscripts theme and then uploaded some themes that i like, that work with 7.6 and the right blocks arent there but on your theme.
