New downloads image

Does anyone know what the variable is that triggers the new download image to appear. I have just added 271 new downloads to a subcategory and it's not showing that there are any new downloads.

If i click on the parent category it will then say the subcategory has new downloads but in the main downloads section it doesnt say anything.

I'll keep looking around the tables to find it but if you know post it up thanks.

doesnt it just show the category ?..instead of the subs.....

Nope the main downloads shows the category and the sub category.
In all of my other categorys showing sub categorys that have new downloads in them, the main category shows the new image letting everyone know there is new downloads in the sub categorys within it. except for this one sub category.
Is that confusing enough for ya. ehehhe

so your saying that the other SUBS do show new ?
and how did you added the downloads ?

Yes, if a sub category has new downloads the parent category should show that on the main downloads page, should it not. My other parent categorys are showing that there subs have new downloads in them.

i'm just wondering were to go to force the showing of the new downloads image. what file do i edit to make it show that there is new downloads.

I have added the new downloads using the downloadadd.php scrip.
I ran it on a folder, it then indexed all of the files in that folder and printed out in sql format all of the need INSERTS. I then imported that into mySQL.
it worked flawlessly. I added 271 downloads in only two minutes.

so you you added that with the script...bla bla bla.... Wink

so that you use it is the first time.,...with this category.....in this way?
c'mon...im sure you know now why it doesnt show its newly added files...

I have used this script several times now and every time the parent category showed that there was new downloads in the sub category.
just not this time ?

well my thought is that you with the insert override the system ..
meaning it doesnt get a nice stamp.
they all show added on the same day ,minute,second etc...
