I installed the latest version of Sentinel, uploaded the files .htaccess, .staccess and .ftaccess accordinly, CHmoded all 666, but I am asked for username and password if .htaccess is there, then when I take it out, receive this messages in the other two...

File does not exist or is not correctly CHMODed.

The path is correct.
Please help.

Did you put a password in the .staccess (you don't need .ftaccess) before uploading?

I did it now, but still receive the same error.
I had to delete .htaccess temporarily, otherwise I am asked to provide username and password.

OK. So you put a user and password in .staccess, and .htaccess, when in place, requires a password. Assuming you can enter the user and pw in .staccess, that's what it is supposed to do.

NukeSentinel should be able to give you the exact contents of the .staccess file. It has a 2-character encryption salt value, the user, and password. There is at least one colon in there.
