I know this is a subject that manages to flumox a lot of people, but ive read lots on this and tried allsorts; with no joy.

I transferred all of our database to a new, fresh db on the same server using phpMyAdmin.
I checked carefully that i moved all of the previous Nuke_bb_ tables across. Then after setting up Ravennuke 76, i used the 'resync' buttons in the PhpBB admin. Now the problem is.. The forums show the topics with the correct usernames and number of replies etc etc, but when i click on them, it says 'no post exists for this topic'
What could be causing this? I assume that because all of the db info was already in nuke_BB tables, that we were already using bb2 nuke.

well it misses somehow the posts...,or its count off....
this can easely be solved by checking all your phpbb tables and convince yourself all data is imported/transfered...

oh i have learnt a lot. Basically i was dropped in as admin by default, at once i decided our nuke was crap and very unreliable, very susseptable to hacks so i toured around and found RN76 to be the best. Et Voilla i am here, just the major stuff like this thats screwing me, all the modules, block stuff ive fixed. However as a site, the owners would like there old posts back.

Well..as usual Hitwalker you were correct Very Happy

The nuke_bbposts_text table didnt import properly (maybe due to its size)

What i did to fix...
1/ closed the forums
2/exported the current data to my old database (using the 'add if not exists' and update functions)
3/exported the old nuke_bbposts_text table using the same criteria. Into my new db
4/ re-opened the forums

The reason for closing them is quite simple, you do not want people posting if you are trying to match up data, because there topics will only get lost.

Hope that may help others.

How did you move the tables?
Did you use a database converter like mine? [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

I haven't used it to upgrade to RavenNuke specifically, but it generally does a good job with it. Otherwise, it will give you the error messages you need to debug the tables.

well i did it the only way i thought it could be done. The good old fashioned phpMyAdmin and notepad trick. One by one, piece by piece. A little tedious though with 197 tables in our old db.
I will look into your converter though, anything to make my life easier kaching!
