Ok, tomorrow I will attempt to add nuke sentinal one more time. My last 3 attempts have not been successful, so I have searched and read everything I can find here, so I have as much info as I can.

Any words of wisdom before I begin? Extra tips or hints that would be useful?

We have nuke 7.9, with patch 3.2, and nukesentinal 2.5.00 for 7.0 - 7.9

Before you suggest we don't use 7.9, for us that's just not an option right now, we have too much stuff on the site to attempt such a major overhaul at this time. I'll try not to repeat any questions you've already answered multiple times before, but I may post errors and snippets of my code here, if that's ok...

any advice would be awesome, thanks!!

Good luck. No advice other than to follow the installation instructions and post questions / problems you have here.

Agreed, good luck and remember even Sentinel cannot protect you from some of the inherent vulnerabilities in that verion of nuke.
Sentinel is not a miracle cure.

thanks, I'll do my best...eventually we'll probably switch from 7.9, but now is not the time for such an undertaking!

I'm sure you'll see me in the morning! Mr. Green

OK, once I run the nsnst.php, it tells me

Operation Status!
Everything seems to have completed successfully Smile
Operation Complete!
Goto NukeSentinel(tm) Admin

but there is no list of stuff completed successfully. Then if i click on Goto NukeSentinel(tm) Admin, I just get a blank white page...same for my regular admin page, and php home page...no error, no nothing...any suggestions? I've double checked my code edits and they look ok to me, but then what do I know??! Mr. Green

Also, does it matter if I upload as ASCII or binary?

FWIW, I have installed 2.5.0 on my 7.9 w/3.2 patches system.

well...how nice for you, doesn't really help me much tho....regardless...i've had enough with it... Bang Head

Guardian, i think i'll take your advice...i'm not bothering with it anymore until i have something other than 7.9...for the time being we'll just keep banning bad IPs found elsewhere...does anyone have a newsletter or something of the like that updates you of bad IPs on a regular basis? otherwise I'll just keep checking the sentinal block here!

Thanks! Cheers

Well you could try the Spamlist Module from my site, I try to keep it as up to date with spammers, hackers etc as I can.
