securing a block

Is there any code out there whereby I can secure (to a point) the text contained within a block. Basically I want to have a block that will contain data that I don't want people to be able to copy or leech.

Ideally stopping people from selecting and copying the data would be good. However, if there is code that can take it further, that will help a lot more. At some point I will make that block to members only, giving aother layer.

I understand that in the end somone can just manually type what you have or do a screenshot, but I'd like to be able to put in a level of couple of levels of security

You can control who can see a block. If you want to limit to more than just members, use NSN Groups.

You could turn the text into an image with a graphics library like GD, then protect the image somehow. Seems like a lot of work though.

Unfortunately, though, all the methods out there cannot protect this if you wish the block to be visible to all. Even javascript is no help to you because it can be turned off in the browser or someone can very easily just "View Source" and get your text...

The image idea from Kguske is probably the best alternative as it cannot be easily "scrapped", but even then, recognition tools are getting better each day...
