hacker banned me

Hi,

I have a major problem.

Someone has tried to hack my site this evening with an American IP address.

So I have blocked their email in my msn but also I went to copy and paste their IP code into the Ban IP range of nuke sentinel and also in the IP Ban on my site they have a permanent ban.

Well, I try to log in again on mysite and it says it has banned me and I am admin of my own site.

Dont know if this is a Union attempt hack or what. The IP did not match my IP.

Please can someone help me get back into my site Smile

The Trouble is if they can't hack your site they do it so that you end up being the one who is banned.

As an idea, is there some script there that can get me out of this sort of mess please.

You'll need to remove the ban via a database tool and / or remove the IP address from the .htaccess file.

many thanks. I removed it through the database. My site hosts took the ban off for me by going in the site itself,

but I will need to put the ip in again, so it doesnt link with mine.

Make sure your own IP is listed under the 'Protected IP' list in Sentinel so you do not get banned again.

Sentinel banned me for editing my admins. How do I remove my ip through database? I forgot to add mine to protected. Anyway this is what it said.

Remove your IP from the nsnst_blocked_ips table (using phpMyAdmin) and if your IP is listed in your root .htaccess file you will need to remove it there as well.
