I have various domains all forwarding to one

eg
[ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] speedtype> [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

I have set Sentinel to Force Nuke URL, but if you go to .co.uk it still says .co.uk and not .com.

Is there any other way this can be forced? Is there a Nuke mod, that I could direct all other variations to the .com page?

thx

Steve

Yes. All the other domains are 'forwarded' to .com

so there is only one physical installation.

Steve

BTW Raven, do you prefer a supporters link to this this site, or weblink?

A text link would be best Smile - Thanks.

I've not had any issues with the Force URL, but you could always use a redirect in .htaccess for a sure way.

There is not site at .co.uk, so no .htaccess exists

I've tried

redirect [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ] [ Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login! ]

The url in the address bar still says .co.uk, thus causing problems with certain areas on the site, cookies etc.

The domains which you are forwarding, are they provided by the same provider as your main web site is hosted on?

Some providers use masked web forwarding, so the real address of the site will be hidden. Easily are a typical example of this.

If the domains are all with the same host, you should be able to simply point the domains to the same directory on your server, as you will have done with your main domain, rather than forwarding.

I hope this helps.

Hi Jakec

I'm with 1&1 and yes all the domains are with them.

I have forwared .co.uk to the .com folder and it hasn't picked it up.

I think I'll raise a support ticket with them to se if they have any clues.

thx

I'll have to double check and make sure mine is working correctly also.

It sometimes takes about 30mins or so for them to change the location.
