I'm working on a friend's site, he just has a small issue

The harvest blocker blocks "tsurf", but it also blocks "CK-Netsurfer"
He says "CK-Netsurfer" is a valid user-agent

So is there any way we can differentiate the two?

(I haven't seen CK-Netsurfer, but it looks to be something with Netscape/7.0)

as far as i could find yes, you can find it in most statistics but it almost looks like its new.
its indeed Netscape/7.0 (CK-Netsurfer) but not many search results with google.
its in the stats but i couldnt find any discussion about it.

I quess the only solution would be to remove the word surf from the blocker there is also a surfbot and then with different rules directly through .htaccess.

So what is "tsurf" supposed to block? Then we could figure out a better string to block it with

With tsurf you can do different things (see also "Gocad (TSurf)" I don´t know if this is also used for website hacking.Possible it´s used to tune your browser. I found a lot of search results for tsurf, but not the exactly answer to your question. I don´t believe it´s an email harvester. [ Only registered users can see links on this board!
