All upload modules are prime candidates for depositing nefarious scripts. They should be examined very carefully before using.

It does not upload a file it only links to a file or am I missing something? I would like a module that allows you to browse to a file on your local and then upload it to a folder.

I think you're missing something. Unless things have changed, you have always been able to upload a file and it will be placed in your user folder. You can then choose to make it public or private. Unless I have always used a modification - that's possible too ROTFL

I do not think you can upload a file with the standard Download module. How can I utilize this EDL you speak of. I went to the site listed in the copyright and it does not come up.

Is it possible to get the Enhanced Download module or not? I have searched and searched and no one seems to have it. Is there some mystery surrounding this module or what?

I don't rightly know. You'd have to read the installation instructions because I have never used either.
